[sdiy] Spice tutorial and programs

Hi all, i've been thinking of speeding up my learning
electronics process through trying out spice
simulations. First of all i don't have a clue if spice
is a good way of trying to learn electronics, but i
figure that using that in combination with "hands on"
electronics could  speed things up for me. Suggestions
for free spice simulators for windows and some quick
and dirty "get started" tutorials would be more than
welcome. I seem to recall this being sort of up
recently, but the archives didn't yield anything and
i'm too tired to think right now...
