MIDI2CV alternatives (was: Re: [sdiy] Newbie alert :-))

I am not contradicting your experience, but I have 2 PAiA MIDI2CV units as
part of FatMan synths and they are accurate for me.  However, the FatMan is
linear, not expo, but my synths easily do the 5 octaves they are designed to
and I don't have any out of tune issues with them.  I use my FatMan synths
along with digital synths and they all stay in tune (and I'm quite
particular about things being in tune).
