The reply to Nicolai was private and the reply to Doug bounced, so I'll try this
to the list one more time.

Nicolai> Boy! You guys are backward ;-)

I started as an artist. My son says oil paints aren't good for the monitor and
the hard drive, so I had to go with paint brush. I've tried schematic drawing
programs but the generally insist on 1 pixel lines. If the drawing goes through
any kind of compression, lines and connections get iffy. I use paint brush so
that I can draw 3 pixel signal lines and 5 pixel power buss and ground lines. On
an 8.5 x 11 sheet it makes it easy to read the schematic sitting on the corner
of the work bench. When the drawing is reduced to 2 or 3 inches, it is still
readable. Use what ever works for you!

I have a template file that has most of what I use - it's only 50K. Give me a
day (Monday) to clean it up and I can e-mail it to whoever wants it. I would
love to see others. I e-mailed Nicolai a few of my reasons and decisions on the
file. If anyone wants he can e-mail that to the list.

My basic standards are 3 pixel lines for normal signal lines, 5 pixel lines for
ground and power, dots for connections and normal straight lines crossing for no
connections. Part values inside the component symbol (rectangles for resistors)
and ref des outside the symbols. Symbols use 12 point Ariel for the value and 10
pt for ref des.

Getting to work on hurricane damage, (I really am - tell my wife) I'll check
e-mail in a few hours.
