Yes, it is, this has been argued back and forth forever, it's best that way
because it protects against embarrassing private emails being sent to the list.
 The discussion of this ends the same way every time: The majority here prefer
it this way and it will not change.

I wrote my own email system, so I have a button that fixes this for my SDIY posts.
