that was a part of the story, if i remember correctly. almost 30 years
ago!

another one of her pieces, more of a sculptural work, is her "handphone
table."
a large wooden table, with seats at either end. at each seat, on the
table top,
were two depressions. if you put your elbows in the depressions, and
then
clamped your hands over your ears tightly, you would hear an audio piece
through bone conduction. the image of people covering their ears and
straining
to hear this piece was an interesting visual pun - covering your ears
to hear.
