I wonder if that was difficult for her, given the rather mischevious streak that often shows up in her work and personal stories =0).
I recall an account of her university days when she was tasked with lecturing over a slideshow for (IIRC) students of history. She said that, after a while, she'd just start making things up; all the time the students would be taking notes. Perhaps some of those students to this day are aghast at the things the History Channel has to say =-D.
Laurie is definitely one of the often over-looked in discussions of EM pioneers that occasionally take place on this and other lists. She has produced an amazing blend of EM and performance art.
