[sdiy] Synth in a pipe anyone?

Extra points if you find them in heavy guage aluminum.
While 'pipe' is still in the subject line, how about stomp boxes (or
enclosures for whatever) made of a short slice of large diameter
schedule-40 ABS pipe with a circular plate screwed to each end. Sch-40
is thick enough that the screws securing the face plate and bottom cover
can go right into the pipe itself. Cheap and easy to work with.
