[sdiy] Synth in a pipe anyone?

Greenlee hydraulic punch says something BIGGER than 1/2 conduit knockout (about
7/8" diameter).   These are used in electrical distribution boxes... like
Hoffman boxes
for instance.  They are WAY bigger than you would want for a stompbox... and
come
in obnoxious sizes... you cannot get something like 8" x 12" without it bieng
like 8"
deep as well.  If you think of the aspect ratio of a refrigerator you'd be on
the right
track.

I've used EXTENDER boxes... these are for a 4"x4" box. Close the bottom with a
solid
plate and cover the top with a er... box cover.  They are not punched at the
sides...

Or buy a freakin' Hammond die cast enclosure for $10...  (these even come
prepainted...)

There are cast aluminum electrical boxes for wet locations, but they will NOT be
cheap...
