    about a year ago i bought an electrix filter factory for $50, didn't
like it so i traded it for a $200 synth, didn't like that so i traded it for
a different $200 synth, and pretty much whatever i do, i'll end up with $150
profit.

    much better than that is a guy i work with... in the late 80s at a yard
sale, he came across an early 60s fender strat someone was selling for their
son who had moved away years earlier. he talked them down to $150, and then
a few weeks later sold it for [i forget the actual amount but it was
something like] 5000 or 6000 dollars... paid off his car. his only regret is
that he didn't hold on to it for another ten or fifteen years and paid off
his mortgage with it :P
