i'm planning on doing some testing with the onboard pic, but will probably move to something I2c.. maybe some maxim chips.. not sure yet.. as for output, same thing probably.. how would i condition the output back to a rail-to-rail signal?

I usually take a rail-to-rail op-amp, tie the '+' to a voltage divider with Vcc/2 and otherwise in a standard inverting amplifier circuit. Often I have a trimmer to set the gain on the prototype. Get a dual op-amp, because you will probably need a buffer on the output as well.
Are you using the internal ADC of the PIC? And what kind of output arrangement will you use?

Hey everybody..
Happy Turkey Day, Gobble Gobble..

Still toying with the idea of doing some dig audio with a pic..
Seems all the ADC's i can use are unipolar.. so i'm guessing i'd need some kind of preamp-ish device to adjust gain and offset to meet those needs.. anyone got a schematic for this? is this even right?
