hmm.. that's a pre-internet standpoint. these days, products like this can
be slaughtered on high profile forums and boards. a lot of people and
potential buyers read these. now, in this case, yamaha probably won't sell a
synth less since this is not really a high profile list, but procucts have
failed because of getting a reputation online.
you really want to see bad behaviour like this? 2 words: 'software
drivers'..;-)
