I would recommend against buying used probes. They are
a 'wear item'... they do go bad with time. Nothing
(well, short of an ex-wife) is more annoying than a
scope probe that has benug to get flakey.
I always use 10X probes. 1Xprobes give a bigger
signal, but load the circuit so much they usually
interfere with normal operation. Most signals that
are 'too small' to see with a 10X probe would be
loaded too much with a 1X probe anyway !

action lawsuit might not be out of the question :^)
