[sdiy] yamaha parts not going in dumpster

There is a Tx-216 in ebay right now for the buy it now price of $185.00
(contains 2 TF1 modules) Item #3763282461. IIRC, the only difference
between the 816 and 216 was the number of TF1 modules populated. The 816
had 8, the 216 had 2 with room for 8. That stuff seems to go kind of cheap
these days. It is hard to get much more than $100 each for TFs. The
cheapest was to build full 6 operator DX voices seems to be with the TX-7s.
The last 3 on e-bay have sold for $75, $52, and $38. I'm only looking
because I have to sell one for a friend. I have 2 that I will always keep.
They are just right for some sounds.

hi geoff,
just wondering if you've still got these, and if so where'd you get
them from? i've been looking for a TX816 for a while, seems to me
they're a bit rare - I had one in the 80's (when I lived in Perth,
actually..) and I work here at Access these days, so it's more of a
nostalgia-purchase for me than anything else ..
