[sdiy] Those darned Yamaha chips!

It's not just Yamaha, I have tried to buy Akai service manuals/schematics from the Australian Akai distributor and was told the same thing, if I'm not an authorised repair agent, I can't have them.

I made a phone call with Yamaha Netherlands last week. Same result. 
No dealer? No info!

I did order a service manual for the SK-20/30/50 once from Lange and 
got a photo copy. An expensive copy to say the least.
Such a pity they left off the final pages; those with the parts list! *&@4%#*!

It seems my original question has transformed into a widespread 
complaint about Yamaha's service. I didn't realize it was *that* bad.
