This is what I have and what I've been able to find out about them so far.

IG02590 - Used in Electone Series (Some CX'es, but which and what else?)
IG02592 - Used in Electone Series
IG02600 - Used in SK- and Electone Series
IG02601 - Used in Electone Series
IG02611 - Used in Electone Series
IG03280 - Used in SK-series (and what else?)
IG03290 - Used in SK-series
YM601 L - Used in Electone Series
YM603 - Used in Electone Series
YM605 - Used in Electone Series
YM607 - Used in Electone Series
YM608 - Used in Electone Series
YM614 - Used in Electone Series
YM621 - Key Assigner (KAC) (used in SK-Series (and some CS?), like 
the rest below)
YM622 - Tone generator (TGC)
YM624 - Single Channel Assigner (SCA)
YM626 - Delay Vibrato Generator (DVG)
YM627 - Parallel to Serial Converter (PSC)
YM633 - Symphonic Ensemble Control (SECII)
YM702 - Upper Organ Generator (GF-1)
YM703 - Lower Organ Generator (GF-2)
YM704 - Generator of Orchestra & ABC (GOA)

And for the after-1980 parts:
YM2128 - Digital LFO
YM2129 - Digital EG   - Both used in DX-7

Actually, I'd also like to find out more about the numbers missing 
from the above list, but I think I'll save that for another time. 
Maybe, one day, the results from this thread can become the start of 
a serious database on Yamaha IC's. :-)
