[sdiy] OT: I need help form someone that recommended a DOS program link

A couple of days ago, someone recommended a link to some software that
allowed running DOS programs in the windows environment. It seemed better
than a DOS prompt as it promised real control of the disk drives (for
software like blind imaging programs).

Unfortunately, I did download and install that utility. It has completely
f**ked my PC. On booting, I get a "no operating system" error. Well, like
any good geek, I got my bootable emergency floppy and booted my machine and
mounted my drives allowing me to re-install the operating system. After all
that, I still do not have a bootable hard drive. So, I am now on a separate
PC trying to figure it all out. If that person could send that link again.
I want to go see what's up with that software and see if it will give me
some clue as to how to recover from the mess I am in.

Sorry for the public bandwidth.
