One pretty good reference I have is a book I recently found at one of the
bookstore chains. It's "Chaos, Bifurcations and Fractals Around Us",
byWanda Szemplinska-Stupnicka. It's just 100 pages, and it emphasizes
geometric pictures. Fractal structure is found in the basin of attraction
of certain attractors. The book uses minimal math, with emphasis on
pictures. There's still a lot of concepts and terminology to learn.
