[sdiy] Tape head collage (pretty much not synth DIY, sorry)

i thought the stereo effect would be nice too, as the
head will move accross the tape at various angles,
some stereo sweeping noises should occur. never
planned on coherent sounds either, was planning on
experimenting with floppy discs, video tape... but i'm
into weird sound like that :)  who knows what it will
sound like moving the head really slowly. 

amping it has been a challenge, the powered Roland
speaker's mic input at my work bench worked well, but
the mic pres on my Mackie barely do it at all. i might
try a phono preamp next. quality and faithful
reproduction is not my goal, interesting sounds are!
