Problem is you are unlikely to get coherent sounds. Even a mono head will
probably transmit mush. You might get good at it, but stereo track size
would
REALLY be hard.
I'm gonna push you even farther now... I'd say that a Mono 1/4" track
might be the
best format, read with a cassette head. Good chance to hear something
vaguely
intelligible.
In fact (new idea and useful) the smallest tape head would probably
suffer the least
azmuith (so I speld it wrong, correct me :^) error
If you don't WANT semi-intelligibility, why use a tape head. Use the
solid state
replacement... a BBD :^P
