[sdiy] OT: problem with Windows XP

Hello and sorry for off-theme, but...

...some damage has happened to my computer (Windows XP
Home, German version). Each time I try to start a DOS program
I get an error message that a prohibited address has been
accessed. The DOS programs themselves are not damaged.

How to fix it? Any help will be appreciated!
