a) I've always just used www.analog.com and a credit card. The cost is OK and no
problems with delivery. Allied Electronics also carries lots of AD stock.
b) The PNP version (SSM2220P) is widely used for MOTM expo generators in the
VCFs.
c) The NPN version (SSM2210P) and the 2220P are used in a discrete OTA
gain-block in the MOTM-440 VCF (emulates the SSM 2040 IC chip).
