I don't think there is any special about the Hitachi H8 chip used in the
Basic Atom Pro inside the PSIM. You could develop a program on the PSIM and
them transfer it to a product with an embedded H8.

The 32 bit internal floating point math coprocessor with 80 uS cycle time is
nice. It turns out floating point calculates much faster than integer on an
H8.

This doesn't help with a quantizer though.
