sure I'm with you! I just thought 5V modular wasn't so popular.

it would be nice to make small modules with DACs and micro onboard
and we could just send some data on serial bus to all modules to controll
them. The same interface would be used on DSP based modules, and
all of them would connect the same way.
Of course, all inputs and outputs would go into routing matrix :)
