Good idea. You might have to calibrate offsets by hand, which would take a 
while, but wouldn't take much more of a while than setting up other kinds 
of hardware.

If you're including the crosspoints you have the added advantage that it's 
easy to add summing nodes and virtual VCAs at each point. (Or the points 
that are being used, anyway.)
