Just intonation seems like a fairly obvious choice, too.

Other candidates: Wendy Carlos's Alpha, Beta, and "Super-Just"
Harmonic Scale, all used on the Beauty in the Beast album.

If 2 external pots can be used, perhaps the second pot can select the
key (root note).
