I used to work on some of those,  and one of the most common problems was the 
wiring harnesses -- tied together like that it's fairly easy for a wire to be 
right _near_ where it's supposed to be,  and yet not connected.  Good 
lighting is a must to find these.  :-)     Good luck with it.
