Hi David!
How did you get that beautiful finish? Looks like walnut or something very
expensive. You should have a brass plate for the panel though... I must
congratulate you to this fine work!
Arpeggiator programming: I see two ways: Add buttons for pause and legato or
add a realtime programming mode. Perhaps the current solution is good enough
for local programming. You could also make more complicated sequences on a
sequencer and then download them into the pedal unit. I would try to avoid
adding too many features, the learning time doubles for each mode/button you
add.
BTW, what do you use MIDI IN for? Programming the arpeggiator remotely? You
could use the MIDI IN to reprogram the IC too, so you could get rid of the
PROGRAM input.

Subject: [sdiy] MIDI bass pedals update
I've finished the cabinet and the first pass on code for the MIDI bass
pedals. I've uploaded some new photos and a user manual.

I have evolved the code a bit and did add portamento only to discover
I don't have a single MIDI synth that implements it.
I would like to expand my arpeggiator. Right now all the notes are the
same duration. I started modifying the code to implement a variable
tempo and decided I should really think through what I want it to do.
Will take any suggestions on this.
These hammond pedals work great. They're large but they're rugged.
Dave
