I'd say not for a couple of reasons, the primary one being that it is a
signal/carrier situation. With no carrier, there should be no signal output.
The purpose of the compressor is to reduce the bleed-through, whatever that
carrier may be. A noise gate triggered by the carrier signal may be more
appropriate.
