LOL! Point taken: It's a good idea to look at the prior art.

I'm happy to have started a lively discussion -- really! -- but I'd
just like to remind the peanut gallery that I was not working on a
blue sky approach. My proposal was intended to address the needs of a
synthesist who wants an affordable, non-computerized patch
storage/recall system for a Synthesizers.com modular. It is limited,
to be sure, yet it is also workable.
