[sdiy] transducers

I built my own out of small DC motors with moderate success:

They work well for driving the spring but they are a bit low impedance for pick-
ups. Someday I may rewind a motor with finer wire and try that, or some other 
type of pick-up design. The standard spring transducers are very simple and 
shouldn't be much effort to copy, as well.
