When there is so much flexing, I have found that besides the obvious
checking of wires, that parts can separate their pads in ways which can
be difficult to see. A DR-110 (also in a plastic case) I was working on
last week was boggling me with it's intermittant noise-circuit cutout.
Turned out to be an electrolytic cap which was flexed off of the board
on one side. The joint appeared solid to me, but the pad had lifted.
