I having the same problem (between others), and I had to replace
all those "22 contact" connectors, too (396 desoldering and resoldering job

I second this! I replaced all of these 22-pin pc card connectors as well on a
'3100. The plastic was so brittle that I could crumble it bare handed (a la
Superman!). These are very common connectors, places like Mouser and Digikey in
the US sell them. Old farts like me call them "STB Bus connectors".
