Hi,
I'm trying to fix a Jen SX1000 for a friend, but need help diagnosing
the problem. Here are the symptoms:

Powers up, produces a contiuous tone which is very quiet and with a
lot of noise - ie a lot of mplifier gain is needed to hear the tone.
The tones pitch changes with octave switch, and responds to the
keyboard, glide also works. The waveform switch doesn't seem to make
much difference to the tone - but it is at such a low level that its
hard to tell (Fiddling about inside) when the left plug to the VCA
board is "half in" suddenly the noise source can be heard at full
volume which can be filtered by LFO and filter.

Any suggestions would be most welcome. Cosmetically the SX1000 is in
very good condition.

Cheers,
Steve
