I'd avoid calling the Q81 a thermistor as it is likely to mislead newbies
who WILL find thermistors in catalogs easily.
The Q81 has a positive temperature coefficient of +3300 ppm. It is (was)
made as a wirewound resistor using an alloy that has the correct
characteristic.
They could be any resistance value you like, with 1K, 1.87K and 2K being
the
most popular synth values
KRL/Bantry is the only mfg. i aware of that makes the wirewound types...
they are
quite expensive
There are newer, film versions. Precision Resistor makes them and I think
Panasonic
'might' as well. These are usually +3000 ppm or +3500 ppm... and a lot
less expensive
The best name to call these might be "tempco" resistors :^P
