[sdiy] Reverb opinions, please

I have found that dc motors work quite well in driving slinkies, with a little
modification. Speakers work well also, but you need to do some fancy mechanical
work with them if you want torsional spring movement. However, for pick-ups,
both speakers and low voltage dc motors are a bit too low of an impedance for
optimum results. I was thinking about rewinding a small dc motor with much
smaller gauge wire for higher impedance and gain, but I have not yet attempted
this very precise and demanding task. If you haven't seen it yet, you may want
to check my slinky reverb page here:

Take care,
