One of the major weaknesses with the Pro-One is that SCI bodged the
connector between the keyboard and the main board. I would look for a bent
pin or similar somewhere on that hookup. Failing that, check the main board
for a broken track - my Pro-One had several. You could also look at
replacing the ribbon cable in case that has fragged. It's good that the
thing worked if only for a while. It sounds like it's something that can be
fixed.
