[sdiy] PAiA Drum Tone Board - Samples?

i built the drum tone board a few years ago...and i recall on the "space
drum" section of the schematic they use a couple diodes to do a little bit
of pitch modulation...nothing really more than a pitch drop....not exactly a
pitch input but something..im not exactly how well this would work
but...have you thought about maybe replacing the resistors in the the
section with a couple vactrols and maybe an op-amp to drive them?? seems
like it would work...but them again...just for cheesey sounds it might be a
bit "too much"
