[sdiy] PAiA Drum Tone Board - Samples?

All,

The PAiA site describes this as a "cheesey sounding" analog drum board. 
Just how cheesey is it?  I didn't find any samples on their site, does
anyone here have samples of this board?  I'd hate to build it if I would
never use it.
