I must respectfully disagree here, I believe that there is a *lot* of 
innovation in the SynthDIY world. Just look at all the different people who 
have been working with quantization circuits lately, for example. Vacuum tube 
synths are another area where there is innovation, with strange modulation 
circuits and waveshaping/mangling. Maybe you should try the VFD modulator 
project on my website if you want something really different ;-)=
