I just bought some about a month ago. Tested in a breadboard, they work well.
Analog control of the signal level works well. They can be used for current
controlled attenuators instead of just switching. Response is much faster than
led / photo resistors.

Now if I can get the shift register - tone wheel, the audio band 90 degree phase
shifter,  and foot pedal interface off my bench, (and the yard work and screen
doors and . . . ) I can start on the phaser using the H11F1.
