  I will triple that. ;)  I stopped using 405x parts one day in 1983 or so
when I discovered that they burn up on +/- 15V supplies.  I've used DG308,
DG508/509 parts ever since.  Thats what happens when one does read the
fine print and assumes that since the 405x works with Vdd-Vss=15V, it will
work with Vdd=15 and Vss=-15.  Oops..hehe

  Although..there is this one time I had a board to drive Polysix MIDI by 
faking key presses that used sixteen 4066s, and the bench PSU decided that 
its life at +5V would be better spent at +29V, those 4066s survived.  
Every other chip resembled the lunar surface, with nice big craters.
