My old G3 400 mHZ is not quite fast enough to really use the Modular V,
when I had a chance to try it. Most of the trouble seemed to be the
redraws when I'd try to patch it were slowing things down. That was
standalone, if I tried as a VST the I could've scrapped the custom draw
and just edited as sliders...
The MiniMoog is a lot of fun; but even I, who owns no Mini, knows that
it does not sound the same. I have played a little bit with ladder
filters before, I would not have mistaken this for one.
Best plugin version of a hardware synth I yet tried was the "Oddity",
quite fun and playable
