Mass drivers, shakers etc. I have one to put in the stool of my instrument.
The biggest problem with these is the lag - they response is somewhat slower
than that of a speaker. For recorded playback, delaying the main output
would help, but for live stuff - well, I guess you have to live with it.

I've used one against the ceiling, agains a window etc. Quite effective if
one could get rid of the rattles!
