That's what I thought myself. I was told that the minimum order was 100
pcs and asked whether he should proceed with the processing of my inquiry,
but I replied that as a non-corporate customer and hobbyist this is more
than I can use, so I did not ask him to name the actual price.
Also, ordering stuff for larger sums of money and have it shipped in from
abroad into Norway can be an ordeal of bureaucratic abuse if you're
just a private individual, and 24% tax, customs fees, expensive shipping etc.
add even more to the expenditure. No, not this time...
Thanks for the ideas anyway, Roman. I never doubted that it would be
possible to get the same kind of control without needing the special pots,
but I plan to use these pots in different locations for different things,
and getting physically center tapped pots really would make a lot of this
much, much easier with minimal extra electronics necessary.
We could humbly suggest that there is probably a market for these pots in
the DIY community and that specialty parts suppliers and/or module
suppliers might consider adding some to their selection...
Will look into the possible special version ALPSes that someone
mentioned...
