         Curious that "ThinkGeek" would resort to spam of that level. And 
here I was thinking they were a reputable supplier of useless junk.

Even if it was some, way-wicked thing, the body shape looks as clumsy as a 
crayon. And I suppose those tips are easy to find just about anywhere as 
well are they? In five years time when the Chinese factory that made the 
things has moved on to making heated butt plugs and IPod clones.

Out on the road, desperate to solder that module back together, these 
things might be handy. On the work bench? Well if you haven't worked out 
the hot end from the cold end of your soldering iron by now, perhaps you 
should consider a career in law enforcement instead.

Otherwise these things look really clumsy. Designed to sit at the back of 
your tool box as a constant reminder of the 3 weeks when the thing actually 
worked and the 12 solder joints you actually performed successfully. On the 
other hand, someone like Roman, who's skills include being able to solder 
SMDs with a gas-axe, might be right at home with such a device.

You could probably replace the batteries with a pair of wires to an old 
computer switchmode and run it at 5 volts? And when the tip finally does 
die, you could put a condom over it and tell people it's a heated sex toy 
for the chronic masturbator who has everything.
