I recently built the first of my modular "function blocks"
(about 8 units' worth of MOTM/Dotcom/Modcan/Cynthia, or it
would have been if I'd measured right). I used a Condor
for the +/- 15V, but for the +5 I got a switcher. My
reasoning was that the modules that use +5 probably do
so for logic, and that's going to wind up dirty anyway.
Plus, I saved about 30 bucks that way.  It seems to work;
I haven't noticed any noise problems.

Yep, same here. Even though my experiment seems to have
worked, for the next two function blocks I ponied up the
extra 30 bucks and ordered Condor triple-output supplies.
