while listening to the astoundingly cool filter examples (looped), i found myself perusing the new(?) Synapse.  near the end of the issue, there is an ad for live electronic music being played to the silent film Metropolis... interesting, i thought, as it went so well with the sounds being played.  but then i read the location and name of the venue, and it is on my city block!  well, was.  i guess i missed that show.
