[sdiy] crackle box or touch plates

Hi y'all,

After reading messages about crackleboxes recently I built one into an 
altoids tin.  I've been pleased with the results and have become 
interested in the crackle synthesizer that is mentioned on the steim 
site.  Does anyone have a schematic or information about the crackle 
synth?  Also, has anyone had good experiences building a touch plate 
controller like the ones that I've seen in Buchla and Serge systems?
