During the famous LM13600 buying spree from Electronic Goldmine that happened before Xmas, I ordered
a "rainbow" LED as part of the extras to get my order up to the minimum. 

It is a strange beast that flashes each of red, blue and green in turn and then kinda flickers in a
mixture of all 3 colours. Looks best in a dark room and viewed from the side. It's neat but I cannot
really see any practical use for it in electronic equipment, except perhaps to distract the observer
from my terrible lettering and painting! :)

Also the tiny bright points of light trigger my visual migrane so I think may have to pass up on
using it.  Anyone else tried these?
