Ah yes...RTL.  When I was in high school (1969) I built a 4 bit binary 
up/down counter using the Motorolla HEP RTL parts.  I think I still have 
some of those dang things....somewhere.  RTL brings back only happy 
memories for me...since I never had to design the stuff into a real 
product....as I remember, the HEP parts were $1.00 each...didn't seem to 
matter what you bought...although, I might be wrong about that price (it 
might have been more).  Still, it was not an easy thing for me to come up 
with the cash to purchase the parts...
